Bobby has taught in most every imaginable venue - including Stanford University Graduate Business School (2015-2016), London Business School (2016-2017), at Seydways Acting Studios (2003-Present), Marin Theatre Company (1999), Head of the Acting Department at The San Francisco Conservatory of Music (1992-1999), running several acclaimed performing arts school drama departments, and teaching master classes on Shakespeare’s plays at universities across the country.
- Taught for 6 years as a California public high school teacher (Single Subject Teaching Credential in English Language and Literature)
- Taught for 8 years at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, developed curriculum for original Acting For Singers program
- Founded and ran several performing arts programs at private schools in SF and Marin County

As an actor, performed since 1991 in San Francisco and Los Angeles, including theatre / TV / film. Recipient of 2006 Drama-Logue Award for Principal Performance as Watty Watkins in "Lady Be Good" for 42nd Street Moon.
Bobby has worked at many of the West Coast’s best theaters, including Berkeley Repertory Theater, TheatreWorks, Marin Theatre Company, Shotgun Players, A Traveling Jewish Theater, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, 42nd Street Moon, Aurora Theater Company, The Marsh, and many others.
As director, his world premiere adaptation of Chekhov's short story The Duel for Central Works received critical acclaim, as did his Twelfth Night for the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, as well as A Perfect Ganesh for Free Range Theatre Company. His Tempest and Taming of the Shrew for the S.F. Shakespeare Festival played to over 50,000 students in more than 60 cities throughout California, followed by an expanded version with a live band and all original music at San Francisco's Gershwin Theatre. Other directing credits include Collected Stories with Essential Action Productions, Things You Shouldn't Say Past Midnight with Theatre Q (winner of 2005 Dean Goodman Choice Award for Outstanding Direction), Falsettoland with Red Dragon productions, Quick-Change Room with TheatreFirst, Empty Places with Foothill Theatre Company, and 2x4 Play at The Marsh in San Francisco. He also worked as Assistant Director to Richard Seyd on The Twelve (an original musical in development with Peter Berg and Robert Schenkkan), Beauty Queen of Leenane at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and as Associate Director for the long running hit Noises Off at the Marines Memorial Theatre in San Francisco.
Bobby is a skilled guitarist, mandolinist, dobro player, singer, and songwriter. Bobby is proud to present his original music, based in American Roots music such as blues, swing, ragtime, folk and jazz.
He followed up his 2015 CD release of original music "New Year's Day" with a single entitled "That's Me Loving You."
